As a creator, you propose your commission when you set up a paid campaign — anywhere from 10% to 30% of every gift — and the nonprofit reviews it before your page can go live; you can message each other to agree on a number. Once they approve, that rate is locked in for the life of that campaign. Volunteer pages you start take no commission (0%). Your share accrues on each gift and is paid out on a monthly cycle once you've connected a Stripe account to receive it.
Your creator earnings are taxable income. Stripe Connect collects the information needed to issue any required tax forms (1099) as part of connecting your payout account.
You're responsible for the campaign pages, messages, and content you post while raising funds through THRIVE!, and for representing the nonprofit and its need accurately.
If a gift you helped raise is refunded, your share of that gift is not paid — if it was already included in a past payout, THRIVE! will reconcile the difference with you directly rather than automatically deducting it from a future payout.
